Showing of "Conviction" documentary film and personal appearance by Sister Jackie Hudson.

On October 6, 2002, Catholic Sisters Ardeth Platte, Carol Gilbert, and Jackie Hudson cut a chain link fence and entered an active nuclear missile silo site in rural northern Colorado.  In a symbolic act of disarmament recalling the words of Isaiah, "they shall beat their swords into plowshares" (Isaiah 2:4) the nuns painted the site with six crosses in their own blood and tapped hammers against the silo lid and rusted tracks used to open the lid for a launch.  Join us for a showing of the award winning documentary film "Conviction", telling the story of these three nuns and their witness against nuclear weapons, and including a personal appearance by Sister Jackie Hudson!  Tuesday, June 3 at 7:00 PM at Cascade Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1550 Sunset Highway, East Wenatchee.
